Phillip Lahm talks about Ballon d'or and says who should win it!


German and Bayern football star Phillip Lahm talks about Ballon d'or and says who should win it this year! Earlier this day The German International was asked about Ballon d'or and who should win it. The German defensive midlefielder needed to choose between The Portuguese and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammate from Bayern and Germany Manuel Neuer. Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Manuel Neuer had amazing year in which they won a lot of trophies. The Real Madrid star won Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, Uefa Champions League, Uefa Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup while The German goalkeeper won Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and FIFA World Cup. 

Also Cristiano Ronaldo broke numerous records and recieved a lot of individual awards. Some of them are: Most goals scored in a UEFA Champions League/European Cup season: 17, Most consecutive UEFA Champions League matches scored in: 8 matches, Most goals scored in the UEFA Champions League group stage: 9 goals, First footballer to ever score more than 10 goals in three consecutive UEFA Champions League seasons: 2011-12 to 2013-14, First footballer to score more than 25 goals in five consecutive La Liga seasons, UEFA Best Player in Europe Award, European Golden Shoe, FIFA Club World Cup Silver Ball, Trofeo Alfredo Di Stéfano, ESPY Awards Best International Athlete.

Manuel Neuer also broke some records and won some individual awards. Some of them are: Footballer of the Year in Germany, FIFA World Cup Golden Glove, FIFA World Cup All-Star Team, FIFA World Cup Dream Team. 




The German Internatioanl Phillip Lahm said: "There will be no injustice if Neuer doesn't take first prize," "I would love it to be a German, but we should not be too subjective, Cristiano Ronaldo also deserves to win." Cristiano Ronaldo already has 2 Ballon d'ors while Manuel Neuer has not yet won the prestigious award. Last year Ronaldo won it and if he wins it this year as well he will have 1 Ballon d'or less than his biggest rival Argentinian football player Lionel Messi,
